Several dropshipping shops, like Belford watches, Zanuss or The Silver Line promote themselves on facebook by reducing the price of goods to zero. "Free watches! just pay shipping" does not mean free, because real price is hidden in shipping costs. These costs can be about 10 EUR or USD. They are much higher than the price of goods as you will shortly see below.

What exactly does "dropshipping" mean? Seller sends your order to another shop or producer, and the goods are sent directly from the source, which usually means: from China. So the shop does not have to import anything or have a warehouse, no need to freeze money in goods, etc. It's a bit like ordering on your behalf from e.g. Aliexpress. The time of shipping from China is long, usually about a month. What is worse, in this type of promotions customers cannot practically complain: shop regulations do not allow return or make it difficult. The value of the goods themselves is small, so cost of sending back are higher - it is another barrier. Shops are often driven by companies abroad but pretending to be local.

To sum up, it is not "promotion" at all: it is a trade, business on which shops earn even 100% of the initial price . If crowd of people apply for the offer, it will give sellers profit of many thousands $ without any effort. If you are interested in offers of "free watches just pay shipping", let's say, with cost of 8 bucks, what will you say for an offer of a watch for 8 dollars with free shipment? Is it equally good? In my opinion, even better, because in the "product gratis" offer your ability to complain someone is just bringing to zero. Free shipping is a typical part of the Aliexpress offer - yes, shipping from China can cost nothing! If you believe in the advertised attractions, I have something better. I have watches for less than half of that price! Watches for about 3 USD, sometimes less, with the ability to track shipments, make complaints and recover money, with feedbacks by real customers - you will not find it in facebook offers. I could spread such offers in hundreds. Watches from "free" promotions are, of course, the cheapest models from Aliexpress, which cost circa 2 dollars. They look nice, but they won't be too durable, they can also happen imprecise, or with other small hidden defects. I am not discouraged by this, because I treat them as artificial jewellery worn for pleasure, which I often change - after all, every fake jevellery in local store costs more. I can choose a watch to suit my mood, dress, occasion - just like a necklace or earrings. By the way, neclaces, rings and bracelets are also used to advertise like these watches. All from Aliexpress....
